TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY

If you are just like me, you probably live in a 100+ year old building and apartment that doesn't have a dishwasher, a clean toilet or any storage. Don't worry, I am here to help! After two years living here, I have discovered the beauty of contact paper. Since we are not living here forever (thank goodness - although I do love this quirky apartment) I have found little ways to make it just a bit more enjoyable.

I picked up 3 rolls of contact paper from dollar tree (that's $3 total!) and transformed our kitchen! And I still had left overs for touch ups later!

When we moved in, it came with contact paper already installed. But underneath is the fun part. Check out that black/yellow "marble" counter top. Ohh yeahhh.

The tenants before were kind enough to cover it up with the white/green speckles.
Luckily I was able to find some nice neutral contact paper at dollar tree.
That weekend I went to town and re-covered the black beauty.

Which turned into this!

Had to include this cute note. I was gone on a 4 day photo trip and surprised with this and my husband when I got home!

It's amazing what a little change can do for the whole room!
