This post sounds more like a journal because I need to keep up with my postings. So here are events throughout our weekend.
That wasn't the case on Saturday. I had a Wordpress Workshop to attend that was required for my Photography class from 9-6p.m. That's right, on a Saturday. :(
Luckily I finished an hour early and was able to make it to an amazing family photo shoot I had that night. After the shoot, I stopped by Radio shack to see Kent because we hardly ever see each other anymore. He had to work until 9, so I went home and played with our neighbor's kitty that I was watching.
Sunday was an early Priesthood meeting that started at 7a.m. Kent was able to make it and learn more about Family History. When he got home, it was time for me to run and do the program for our Church Sacrament Meeting. I quickly went, printed, cut and folded all the programs and handed them out. Kent walked to church (which is about a 25 minute walk...) and so after the sacrament, I took the car and picked him up - he was almost there to church. I just needed an excuse to eat my breakfast -Which was a pop-tart. We sat together for the rest of the meeting, Sunday school, and then met after relief society and priesthood. While I was in Relief Society, a nice lady from our ward who was sitting next to me invited us over for lunch! I got a little teary eyed because the lesson was on "loving your neighbor". She was fulfilling her duty to "love her neighbor".
Lunch with them was so fun. It felt like we were eating lunch with my grandparents. We weren't, but the atmosphere felt so happy and familiar.
For dinner we had Claire and Brantley over. We successfully made French Dip Sandwiches and salad. Then we played a dice game and each one of us won once.
Later that night we took NyQuil and did a google hangout with Lauren and David - our friends that live in Oklahoma. I could feel the NyQuil start to kick in once we were about half way through. But we made it! I stayed up a little past two getting everything done. Somehow I fought the urge to go to bed even on NyQuil.
Here we are now, on a beautiful Monday fall day, just at home. Kent Crocheting and I'm blogging.
